Passionate about art and dessert, María Andrée discovered the world of pastry arts at 18. After studying Baking & Pastry Arts at The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, she ventured into the custom cake business while studying for a bachelor in Business Administration. She later studied Design and Publishing for the Food Industry at Florence University of The Arts in Florence, Italy, where she decided to start her own business in Guatemala and founded María Andrée Couture Cakes in March 2013 and now she's opening her first US store here in Dallas, Texas.
